Finally, after a long time of wait, Skoda is going to launch its first ever 7 seaters SUV Skoda Kodiaq on 4th October. As named after a bear which found in south-west Alaska. It was first showcased in Paris Motor Show on 29 Sep 2016. Since that time it became the most awaited SUV of the Skoda.
Now on the body side, Skoda Kodiaq shares the same MQB platform with Octavia and Superb. It comes with the dimension of 2700mm wheelbase,190mm of ground clearance, 4,697 mm of Length, 1882mm of Width, 1676mm of Height, 720 Lt of boot space which can be expanded to 2065 Lt.
Skoda Kodiaq Launch Date Revealed
The Skoda Kodiaq will come with the same 143hp 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine which also seen on Skoda Octavia. Here, surprisingly Skoda is not offering its more powerful 177hp of the engine. Skoda is only offering the Automatic transmission standard across all the variants, not the manual transmission in any single model. It is not cleared what it gonna offer in the interior but sure it will get a large touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple car play, hands-free parking assist and led lighting, 360-degree view camera, and emergency system among some variants. On the safety side, it scores 5stars in EURO NCAP test. So it might be the best family SUV car.
Skoda Kodiaq Interior
Skoda put a price range of the car in the range of 25-30 lacs. From this point of view, it directly challenges the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Volkswagen Tiguan. Perhaps in future, they may launch petrol version and even high-performance RS variant.
