Last week, we featured news stating Volkswagen may launch polo based sedan namely Virtus in India and today the first image of Volkswagen virtus sedan leaked online. The new Sedan from Volkswagen will be based on VV MQB platform.
Consider being the first model among the host of models developed on latest platform MQB Ao. It will be important to mention that current gen Polo and Volkswagen Vento are based on the old platform PQ25 and it is soon going to be replaced with the new MQB platform and Virtus is believed to be the first model in India from this platform. Also upcoming or new gen VV polo and Vento will be developed on the same platform as well.
Exploring the spy shot, we found, the new virtus sedan from Volkswagen carries the same style of VV family cars and carries the same look of VV’s latest sedans in India. The front look seems evaluated from Polo with slightly re designed headlamps, a bumper with a new grill and large size vents are some the changes we noticed.
The New Virtus carries the style from Vento with single features line and simple design of windows. The new taillights, lip spoiler and chrome finished bumpers make the rear more attractive with a new look.
Inside the cabin, the Virtus interior has changed as well. The virtus will have 10.2 inch TFT cluster with 8.0 Inch Touch screen infotainment system accommodates above the Climate control module.
Not much detail out yet about engine specs but referring media report, the India specs model Volkswagen virtus may get 1.6 Li petrol and 1.0 Li TSI turbocharged petrol and diesel variants.
